How to Remove Filtration Soil Lines from Carpet
Your carpet is the most oversized filter in your home. Just like your furnace and air conditioning filter that filters out airborne soils that pass through it, your carpet does the same thing.
Air circulation causes the carpet to act as a filter, trapping small airborne dirt, oil, dust, and carbon between the wall and carpet or under doorways. You will typically see these lines along the room's perimeter and near floor registers.
