EASY WAYS TO FRESHEN UP YOUR HOME AND LIFESTYLE
EASY WAYS TO FRESHEN UP YOUR HOME AND LIFESTYLE
Proper Way to Vacuum Carpet
Vacuuming carpets may seem simple enough, check out some proper techniques that will help your weekly cleaning become more effective:
- Start with Dusting – When you start with dusting before you vacuum, this will help remove the most dust, dander, and soil as possible. Post-vacuum dusting will only ensure you end up with a layer of dust over your finely vacuumed carpets.
- Vacuum in Multiple Directions – You do not want to make the one-pass mistake. You could be leaving sand, dirt, grit, and hair embedded into the fibers if you only vacuum going one direction. When you vacuum side to side and at an angle, you will help loosen and remove all the non-water-soluble soil which will help extend the life of the carpet.
- Adjust and Move Furniture - Moving the furniture will help with the dust bunnies that get caught under the furniture and rearranging the fine fabric sofas and coffee tables will help prevent the indents left by heavy furniture.
